Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel
by James Luceno
Another solid Star Wars novel from the prequel era.
Things that I particularly liked about this novel:
- the infighting and competitive element that the emperor has created within his ranks
- exploration of the scientific aspect of the Star Wars universe that I haven't really seen / read about in other titles
- further expansion of the role that Geonosis played in the building of the Death Star following the end of the Clone Wars
- references to how the Empire used propaganda to tell the story of betrayal of the Jedi
What would have made this novel better:
- Needs more Palpatine
- should have followed up on the Geonosion 'issues' more (I won't go into details for spoilers)
