The Best Man's Ghostwriter by Matthew Starr

I am not going to lie : I saw Glen Powell, I clicked, I listened. I'm a simple girl.

BUT that's not all there is to this audio fiction.

This story highlights the difficulties of male friendships in a way I never even thought about before. The fact that men are usually uncomfortable with being vulnerable, even with their closest friends and that, to maintain a true, deep and nurturing friendship, you need to open your heart and speak from it. Of course, I knew that it was necessary but with female friendships, it's not even an effort you have to make. Most of the times, it just comes naturally.

It was very interesting to navigate those ideas and feelings with a character that is flawed, sure, but always tries his best. It's just a beautiful and fun tapestry of friendships in adulthood and I enjoyed it very much.

The narrators are all excellent. I freaking love Glen Powell and Nicholas Braun's dynamic, they were very fun to listen to. My only regret is that ... it's not a movie ! Give me my troubled bromance movie NOW.
