The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley

5.0

I read this, and several other books of the series, when I was a teen. I loved anything King Arthur, and this story seemed to place women at the center of a legend that all too often featured only men. I appreciated the excruciating detail and the depiction of women who were struggling to find power and consequence any way they could.

I'm not sure I would enjoy it as much now, but my rating reflects my feelings when I originally read the book.
