Daughter of Havenglade by H.C. Harrington

2.0

I struggled with this story. The prologue was good, intense, and caught my attention. However, when it switched to the life of a 13-year-old girl, I had a hard time continuing. I thought the girl was a lot younger based on her behavior. I had to go back to the beginning to remember her age. There was a lot of back and forth with the flashbacks that it confused me on more than one occasion.

Overall, the plot idea was a good one, definitely YA. But the delivery needs a bit more work.
