Brynn is spending the summer at a quirkly little inn ran by a quirky woman in a quirky town. She is mourning a family member and thinks that Wharton is the perfect place to relax and take her mind off her grief. She meets a mysterious stranger and several odd things happen in the supposedly haunted inn. But, is the inn haunted, or is Brynn?

This took an AGE to read, and it really shouldn't have, because it's a small enough book. I think it was on a BookBub offer late last year. One sentence in the book threw the whole "mystery" right open, and I was annoyed by that - granted, it wasn't the most well concealed secret in the world but I just found myself waiting for it all to kick off rather than just being able to enjoy the story.

My favourite part of the story was the actual town - it seemed like such a peaceful, lovely place. Based on the real town of Bayside, Wisconsin, I spent a really enjoyable hour Googling the place.

It turned out cute enough in the end as long as I didn't try to unpack it too much.
