Moloka'i by Alan Brennert

I really thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am a person who in general loves anything that gives me an in-depth look at something i had no previous knowledge of. I will say that at some instances it was a bit hard to read, just because the hawaiin language is used pretty heavily in this book but I loved that. This book for me truly created a connection between myself and the characters. But, it also showed the sad side of what can happen to a family when a serious illness shows up. It can truly destroy. But The reason I loved this book so much, was because of little Rachel, all she wanted to do was get better, that was her purpose and her goal. There was noting that stopped her, from living her life the absolute best that she could. This historical account of Leprosy was amazing and had you hoping for the absolute best outcome. I highly recommend this book, I myself read it twice.
