Nikki, the author when turns 41 finds out that she has Type 1: diabetes. Having been suffering from diabetes, she faced a lot of difficulties. Eventually, she turned legally blind and had meningitis. Also had to transplant her pancreas.

Living life with such a disease with so many difficulties to handle becomes like hell. Anyhow Nikki dealt with diabetes but felt very low when she became blind. She felt she had nothing left to do, she would never be able to do anything in her life again.

When she turned 43, her husband filed a divorce saying that he can’t live with her anymore, she’s getting on his nerves. So, Nikki decided to go with the flow and change her lifestyle. She started to live her life with a new attitude.

Her life completely touched my heart. She writes everything about her life openly, all her lows and highs, everything. It is very brave of her to completely open up to everyone with her life journey. This has become one of my favourite memoirs now, as it is candid and life-changing. She taught me to never give up in life, just go with the flow and stay strong. The writing style is indeed very engaging. Her story is really very inspirational.

If you are thinking about whether you should read this memoir, you definitely should. It might help you a lot.
