The Bodyguard by Katherine Center

as a hopeless romantic I long so badly to find a book that will make me feel like this one did, especially after so many disappointing ones, and let me tell you, it feels SO GOOD.

that been said, I did find THAT scene at Thanksgiving a bit odd, yes I liked that she acknowledges how everyone no matter what they look like has insecurities, but it did feel like an overkill. Since it was the only moment I didn’t truly love, I ended up settling on a 5⭐️

other things I loved:
• how you felt their connection through the whole book, really proving how you do not need smut to do so (it’s a close door, which I appreciate)
• people stating what they want/need from the other person in order to not feel bad in the relationship (as friends, employer-employee and bf-gf). we don’t want no miscommunication here
• showing how good life can get once you let your guard down and let people in your life
• how putting people on a pedestal is never good, since we’ll always a feel like we’re not good enough and bc everyone has flaws (yes Bobby I’m talking about you)
• Hannah sticking to her values even when she was truly hurt (and it paying off)
