The Infinite Noise by Lauren Shippen
5.0
*Slight spoilers*
"Neither of us is going to be the normal one," he says practically. "I think it's best we just accept that."
This book was SO. GOOD! If you don't know about The Bright Sessions, first of all, get on that, and you'll still love this book. But if you're a big fan of The Bright Sessions like me, you will LOVE this book. The dialogue is so realistic and the situations, especially when it comes to awkward teenagers, is so believable. Caleb is my favorite character from this world and I was so happy to read more about his story. The way he explains emotions to Adam is amazing and unique, and the actual feelings are displayed so well in the story. Also, I can't really speak to experience, but it seems like Adam's depression is portrayed well, and treated well by his family and Caleb.
It basically follows the beginning of the podcast (before the AM really comes into play), but with a focus on Caleb. As in, you only see Dr. Bright a few times. Which I thought was interesting, because it allows us to see how Caleb grows from HIS view, not Dr. Bright's.
