Reads like fiction. Unlike me, the author writes in a griping and entertaining style. You may become swept up in the drama and excitement of the writing to take a step back and analyze the anecdotes objectively: many of these stories are personal experiences and strongly bias the reader's perception in one very specific direction.
Yet, I agree with the importance of the end message: it is critical to value and have empathy for our nurses. Written well, strong message, strong bias. More of a "medical drama" book (re: Gray's Anatomy, House) than a strongly academic one. 4 stars.
