Il Mestiere dello Scrittore by Antonietta Pastore, Haruki Murakami

It’s just my opinion (and what do I know, though it seems to me he’s saying the same think in the postface), I’m not someone who will ever write a novel or anything really (or at least I can’t see myself ever doing it at the moment), and I’m reading this mostly because of my goal to read every Murakami book out there, BUT I think people who “criticise” this book for not having good advice for aspiring novelists kinda missed the point? Again, I don’t really know anything, but while reading, it never felt like a “Here are some actionable ways to help you on writing a novel” book (and I do realise there are some “what to do to become novelists” points sprinkled throughout the book e.g. the fifth chapter), but rather a “Here is who I am, here is what I think, and how this has shaped my person who happens to be a novelist. Take from it what you will” book.
