Indigenous, I Am by Jason Eaglespeaker, Niltooli Wilkins

I have always had an issue rating poetry collections as I'd want to rate each poem differently, this book is very different. It is a story told through poems, they are written so you can follow the authors life through each in order. It does a wonderful job of telling how she felt and how she grew and healed. It covers sensetive topics like SA in such a way that you really sense some of how she must have felt, because of this I feel it would be very difficult for someone with these triggers to read. I was impressed to see that the book itself featured trigger warnings at the start. This book was beautiful but so sad. Definitely worth a read.
