The Dying Wish by Courttia Newland

3.0

This wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t brilliant. I felt like I had picked up a book from the middle of a series and jumped right in, but despite the hint on the cover that this is a James and Sinclair mystery, I don’t think it is part of a series. Even so the narrative really alluded to a possible interesting back story. I felt that the mystery that Ervine James was chasing could maybe happen in real life, but there was something missing in the story that made it not feel authentic and believable to me. I would be interested to try another book by this author though.
