Did not finish book. Stopped at 23%.

Why do I need to know so much about the ship, every man's full name and move, and so much about the ice? I get that they're stuck in the ice. I don't need to be reminded every 4 pages. Painfully slow. Interested in the Thing and Lady Silence. Can't be bothered to trudge through consistent 1840s naval speak to get there. Interesting concept, bad delivery.
