This was such an incredible sequel! I wasn't aware that this series was only a duology and I'm so sad that it's over!!
I love Alosa and Riden so much!! They are such a cute couple and I live for their banter!! I'm so happy that we got to see even more of it in this book, and that we got to watch their relationship really develop. As individual characters they are both incredible as well.
I love the other characters as well! Alosa's crew is THE BEST!! I'm so happy we got to see more of them in this book. I especially loved Roslyn. What a freaking sweetheart! I love how the crew is so loyal to Alosa, and not because they fear her, but because they genuinely like her and believe in her. She treats them so well and so they treat her well in return. The love they all showed each other was beautiful to watch. Such strong female friendships and I am HERE FOR IT!
The plot of this book was also super engaging. Once again we are immediately in the action from the first line, and it never gets boring after that. We got to learn so much more about Alosa's past and her family. I was so interested to see her really learn about and connect to her siren side. We got to see more of her awful father and learn about the truth behind him and her mother.
All of my questions were answered, and everything that I wanted to happen did.
This was an amazing sequel and ending to the series.
