Well apparently I'd been waiting for this book although I have to confess I only had vague recollections of the series and not much of Lexie.

Lexie is the only human living in the vampire compound after her best friend married the vampire King. She has the hots for Lee, the King's head of defence but he is anti-human.

Lexi finds all the vampires a bit overwhelming, as is the live at night sleep during the day regime. Unfortunately for her, but fortunately for the vampires, her desire to be with humans during daytime leads her to stumble across an attempt to infiltrate the compound by Haig,
