The Great Big Demon Hunting Agency by Peter Oxley

5.0

Having enjoyed the author’s previous novels set in a Victorian London under the threat of demonic invasion, I was delighted to find out that the adventure would continue in The Great Big Demon Hunting Agency, albeit with a different set of characters.

From the outset, Spencer and Bart set the scene of a demon ridden London scrabbling to find a way to cope with its new population. The flipside to this – the wealthy side of society where we find our young heroine Tessie – isn’t much better.

When these three characters come together, it’s the beginning of a terrifying, thrilling, almost non-stop journey into magic, privilege, and mystery. Absolutely brilliant.

So glad to see that the novel’s ending leaves the door wide open for more adventures with these characters.

P.S. I read an ARC of this novel supplied by the publisher.
