We get the full origin story of Erica and its heart-breaking. Her life was destroyed and then the order made it better? Worse? Good question. Readers learn more about the House Of Slaughter and its workings. Its good, informational, and necessary but I wished it was broken up over a longer time frame while we got to witness more of the Archer's Peak aftermath. The art was still very good, especially how 12 year old Erica was portrayed (like a tween). The coloring was too dark at times though. Overall, still a good addition to the series but I was hoping for more of a connection to the previous three volumes.
