The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells by Andrew Sean Greer

5.0

Greta, Felix, Ruth, Nathan, Leo. Three different lives for one woman in three different times, and yet some things stay the same. This is a love story-- and not necessarily a love story between a man and a woman, but for one's self, I think, and that has its own sort of incredible beauty that we don't get to see too often. I loved the time travel element and how it was so unique, threading together three different women's consciousnesses rather than just plopping a character in a different setting and seeing how they interacted with their new world. I'll be picking up another one of Andrew Sean Greer's novels soon.
