I didn’t realize this was a billionaire romance when I started reading and almost noped the hell out right then and there, but this book gets shouted out so much that I stuck it out—and I’m glad I did! Do I think this story about a woman who dommes a billionaire into shedding his net worth in the name of equity and charity is entirely successful? Not really. Do I like that it at least goes for it and strives to say something interesting about the inequities of CEOs and shareholders versus employees, who gets opportunities and who doesn’t? I do. And I really liked Kate, our FMC, and wish I’d felt like MMC Mikhail was as sharply defined as she was. But all in all, this was fun.
