The universum of Claire North is populated by amazing, colourful persons: think of Harry August, Keppler or e.g. Hope Arden. All have in some kind of way an ability which is not always (in fact hardly ever) a blessing: being born over and over again (Harry), switch one's mind from one body to another by a mere touch of skin (Keppler), being forgotten the moment eye contact or conversation is lost (Hope)...

Claire North is the real queen of empathy as she wonderfully reflects on the consequences the super powers of her characters entail. Tt's never black or white but so much more complicated. I've never caught her on a mistake made against her own starting points, which makes her books amazingly witty and smart, in my opinion without being intellectualistic.

I enjoyed "The sudden appearance of Hope" and felt sympathy for the poor little thief drawn in the drama's created by High Tech moguls. Can someone please tell Claire North to get pregnant by David Mitchell ,so that their to be kid can grow up to write the most amazing story ever?

Thank you :-) !
