I don't know how this book hits just as hard, if not harder, the second time reading but it does. Vanessa is doing her best to hold her family together while hiding her medical fears when her little sister drops her newborn in her lap. Adrian is an uptight workaholic just trying to get some sleep when his neighbors wailing baby drags him from bed at 4am. They strike up an unlikely friendship that is clearly turning into more no matter how hard they fight it. This is loosely a miscommunication friends to lovers story, but the flirty friendship is so beautiful. As always, Abby Jimenez masterfully let's us watch them fall, crash, and rebound in the most beautiful manner. Favorite romance author 💗
