How in the heck do the men in this series keep getting hotter? Like, for real! I didn’t think anyone could top my man, Callan, but then Asher came in and said, “Hold my football.” I just knew that Asher was going to be the filthiest one, but this was better than I expected. Asher and Wynter have this undeniable chemistry right from the start, and it gets hotter as the book goes on.

Wynter is a smart, driven young woman who has the weight of the world on her shoulders. She is a resident at the hospital in Boston and is now the official surgeon of the Boston Rebels football team. And did I mention she hates football players? When she became pregnant from a (horrible) one-night stand, she never expected to see the baby daddy again since she didn’t even know his name or anything about him. Yet, when she saw the man again and found out who he was, she thought it was just her luck that he was a football player. When she told Asher about their son, he was so happy and excited, and Wynter didn’t know how to feel about it. She didn’t want to be involved with Asher, yet she found herself falling for his charms and the way he was with their son.

Asher was unapologetically himself. He tells it like it is and has no qualms about telling Wynter that he wants her. He is not only a good football player but a genuinely great person. He likes to go to the hospital and chat with the kids, and if people ask him for autographs, he doesn’t blow them off. He presents himself as this flirt and jokester, but deep down, he craves a real connection with someone, and he knows in his heart he has that with Wynter. He knows he screwed up the first time they met and wants to make it up to her and show her that kind of guy he really is. He never gives up on making sure she knows he’s the real deal and that he loves her and their son with all of his heart.

Asher was such a surprise. The previous books made him seem like such a player, never wanting to be tied down. He is just so much more loveable, and he has a heart of gold.
