What Will I Do with My Love Today? by Kristin Chenoweth

4.0

This book has cute, colorful illustrations and a nice message about love. The part about adoption seems somewhat randomly inserted in the middle of the story, but it's nice to see a book from the perspective of an adopted child that isn't about adoption.

This is from a Christian publisher, but it has mainstream appeal. There's a reference to singing in a church choir, and the character talks about caring for all of God's creatures, but this is mainly just a cultural backdrop. There are no references to specific beliefs. If someone is seeking out more explicitly Christian content, this will be a disappointment, but secular readers shouldn't avoid this because of the faith-based publishing house.
