Stop calling this a YA Romantasy!!!! This is not a YA novel with it costing $40 dollars CAD??
It's kind of a disservice to call this a romantasy. There is like a sprinkle of romance in this toxic relationship that Ruying has with Antony. The romance doesn't feel like a focus at all, and it's more about Ruying and the world she lives in and the oppression she's facing and experiencing.
I enjoyed the writing and the story. It's kind of a journey of Ruying realizing that oh maybe I am working with the baddie after all. It's a fantasy that deals with colonization and Ruying's experience of it, and her desire to survive above all else.
