Claire is a young college student who has had a hell of a life. Growing up with a drug dependent mother who eventually dies only to be shipped off to a great aunts house who preaches at her and is convinced that she is just like her mother. Eventually she ends up with her uncle Phillip and life slowly gets better for her, trust in others is another matter.

Jude is the colleges star hockey player, and needless to say a player. Upon meeting Claire however he does an abrupt 180 and quickly decides that she is 'it' for him. Being in college they have to deal with the rumor mill and other such drama which is intensified by Jude's previous habits. But Jude and Claire are both a bit bull headed and refuse to be swayed.

The whole book was a tense emotional train wreck waiting to happen, not saying that it wasn't good though. At the very beginning of the book you learn that Claire has two jobs that involve dancing, one is teaching at a dance studio and the other is dancing Burlesque at a club. The second one is the one that you know will get her into trouble and so you go through the book with baited breath and cringing every time she has the opportunity to come clean and doesn't. Eventually Jude and Claire manage to make it through all the drama and family opposition. Jude's brothers stared in this book as well, hoping to read about Jayden in the next book!? 5 stars!
