One Of Our Kind by Nicola Yoon

mysterious reflective tense fast-paced

2.0

I had such high hopes for this novel but this is a let down.

The fmc is insufferable. She is constantly judging others (both Black and White), for things like wearing wigs or the hair being too straight. It is hard to like a character when they are so judgemental.

And the end? What was the message of this book because this whole novel felt so anti-Black.

Nicola Yoon may need to stick to YA novels because this didn't work for me.
