Okay, this is DARK. There are many questionable scenes that I think require stronger tw (like non-con). I found the book heavy in general, it describes war which includes rape of random and side characters, torture of main characters etc. There were times in the story where I was like oh hell nah, but I was interested enough to keep going and I knew these tw as I went in, so I expected it. What I liked was the clear distinction between non-con between MCs and rape - this obviously doesn’t exist in reality, but it is crucial in fantasy, bdsm etc. and it is rarely done well! 

In the 2nd half for some reason I couldn’t put the book down. Malyr is an incredible dark romance character, because he actually is dark and a bully, but it is done in a way where I ended up feeling the same things Galantia did. I questioned everything, even ended up liking Sebian even though hisI kept wishing he stopped saying sweetheart 😂 There are plot twists, I liked the back story, there is a lot of spice but there is a lot of plot too and I really enjoyed that. The ending was incredible (even though my heart literally broke) and I went straight into the 2nd book. I feel like I will like it even more, because I am invested now, I relate to the FMC and I am SO happy there is not just spice but also a good plot, which often lacks in spicy romantasy. I do recommend it, but you have to know what you are getting into and if those things are not for you that’s completely fine, read smth else. It is definitely very dark, but for me it paid off.
