The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco

Oh my goodness!! I am in love with this book! So glad I got introduced to this book and this series. I'm giving up all my April TBR to carry on with the next in the trilogy, its that good.

The world building, narration and pacing of the story is perfect for me. The writing and the plot is so dreamy, beautiful and poetic, that it stays with you long after you've finished reading a chapter or the entire book as well. Its really haunting too.

The story is so unique and we get to see a very different culture set in this Asian fantasy. The characters quickly become endearing to you, especially the siblings - Tea and Fox. The supporting characters are equally good, and in the first book, the readers are just given a hint of the love interest.

Even more interesting is the political angle in the book. It doesnt feel boring at all, and thats saying something for someone who finds it very difficult to follow politics. There is a lot of dark magic and a lot of scary creatures that will keep you thoroughly engaged in the book.

Now, on to the next one, Heart Forger, to see, what is Tea going to do next, and to learn about her back story :)
