That Time I Got Drunk And Yeeted A Love Potion At A Werewolf by Kimberly Lemming
4.0
One thing you should know about me: I refuse to shut the f*ck up about how much I love Kimberly Lemmings! ( Kimberly if you're reading this, I love you xx)
Brie (just like Cin) became instantly loveable within mere pages. We love a self assured, funny, smart, sexy, independent Black female character. Period.
I found the conversations around consent interesting and really necessary (I've been seeing this theme played out too in Dragon's Bride). Also hard to talk about without spoiling anything but this take on misogyny/misogynists was brilliantly executed.
It's a hard book to review without giving away too much but bottom line: read it. Especially if you need a good laugh.
The Mead Mishap series has become my feel better/happy reads and I'm beyond excited to see where the story goes from here.
