Mennonite in a Little Black Dress: A Memoir of Going Home by Rhoda Janzen

3.0

I expected this to be an easy going, humorous look at a kind of former life...but it was much more than that. At times it's heartbreaking, funny, insightful and educational...always well written. At times, I felt the story got a little bogged down in details or background, but it wasn't enough to make me give up on the book. The author's perspective is fascinating.
