If You Leave Me by Crystal Hana Kim

There are some books you read, where it feels like someone is squeezing your heart throughout the story.
That was this book for me.
A beautiful story about a young woman named Haemi, living in Korea during the 50s and 60s. As well as the two men who love her, Kyunghwan and Jisoo. This shows how the decisions we make in our past, can vastly change the course of our future. While the stories are very different, this gave me [b: A Place for Us|36840397|A Place for Us|Fatima Farheen Mirza|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1517006183s/36840397.jpg|56945150] vibes.
What I found to be so heartbreaking, is you just know that Haemi could have thrived had she lived in today’s world.
I do wish that I had felt a stronger connection between Haemi and Kyunghwan in the beginning. If I had, I think I would’ve read straight through instead of taking a long break. But in the end, I fell so in love with Haemi’s character, flaws and all, that I ended up feeling everything.
