Was really excited about this book, thinking it will be a 5 star read for sure, which it could have been, if the story had a better MMC and FMC. I got a bit disappointed with the characters and their relationship, both seemed too irresponsible and reckless for people who had much to lose with their behavior towards eachother. I didn't feel that this bland FMC was mature or intelligent for her age, or that she felt the pressure to help her sister or to make the best out the oportunity that was given to her to escape from her hometown life by exceling in that school. And the MMC, how I am supposed to believe he has two PhDs and is a great scientist who dedicates his live to his research when he just becomes obsessed with a girl in his class to the point of risking everything in two seconds? Their interactions were overall a bit cringe tbh, they didn’t have a good chemistry. And that's why, in my opinion, this book deserves a worse rating that what the story deserves just by the plot, which was mostly solid and quite good
