Forget Me Not by Q.B. Tyler
1.0

I have some mixed feelings about this book sooo I'll just start with the things that I liked. It is a second chance romance with a relentless hero who does non-stop groveling. I thought I would like it but I felt disconnected from the characters. Maybe it was the writing. It was okay but not effective enough to evoke those emotions in me. But still, some parts of the book were sentimental enough. (I guess).

Things I liked:
1) I did feel for Bennett when he was scared and anxious thinking that he lost Olivia forever.

2) Bennett was madly in love with Olivia. You could hear him whining about it but his actions speak otherwise.

3) Olivia was sensible enough to ask for a divorce, not staying with the cheating scum.

And that's about it. I can start ranting now

1) Let me start by saying, I'm not a doctor or a medical professional but anyone with common sense knows that a patient suffering from a head injury like that should not be overwhelmed. Especially when he seems to have lost his memory. You have to break reality down slowly to him. Does this happen here? No. Not at all

2) Olivia is smart enough to realize that Bennett lost his memory but not smart enough to know that you should not pressurize him and say something to the patient that will distress him. What she does is just blurt out the truth that they are getting divorced.

3) Bennett definitely does not act like an injured person, who has seemingly been in an accident. We also don't get to know how the accident happened, I guess that's irrelevant when you can stuff the novel with a horny heroine.

4) Speaking of that, Olivia is having such reactions when she saw Bennett on the hospital bed and getting turned on. How can you even have such thoughts in such a circumstance?

5) Bitchy mama and also bitchy mistress

6) Wren seemed like a very loyal friend. But he kept justifying Bennett's actions by saying how much he loved Olivia. That does not change what he did. If he loved her so much then why couldn't he keep it in his pants?

7) Olivia wants to screw Bennett every time she sees him

8) Way too many sex scenes. So much that it took away the emotional aspect of the story

9) Asshole boyfriend. David comes, insults Olivia, comes to apologize, and then insults her again. Nice.

10) "He got to be himself with her. He could be with her and still be in love with you." This was one of the bullshit dialogues ever written. So he loved Olivia but sought support from this other woman? Un-freakin-believable.

11) Wren and Bennett went to hang out. I repeat that he was in a car accident! He was supposed to rest. And Wren, being a doctor should know better!

12) Bennett was so strong he could carry Olivia. I'm sorry. Didn't he have an accident? Or am I mistaken?

13) Bennett is very successful but apparently, he is technologically challenged. He doesn't know what iCloud is. You dummy, Apple didn't invent iCloud in 2017, it's been here since 2011.

14) Olivia tries to be a strong person but she gives in way too easily. She should have made him work hard for it.

15) The biggest freakin reason. He was a weak, cheating asshole who cheated on his wife even though he said he loved her. Not once, not twice but thrice. He kept going back to that woman despite pleading with Olivia to take him back. He loved her but he shared his sorrows with another woman. What a prick.

And yeah. I think I'm done. Now that I think of it, 3 stars seem too generous a rating. Whatever. Poor execution of the plot, and unimpressive characters. There's a similar book named [b:All Your Perfects|38926487|All Your Perfects|Colleen Hoover|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1531682842l/38926487._SY75_.jpg|58113564] by [a:Colleen Hoover|5430144|Colleen Hoover|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1464032240p2/5430144.jpg] but that book is going to wreak havoc in your heart and make tears stream down your cheeks. I definitely recommend that for an angsty, marriage on the rocks story. Not this one.
