This one hurt me. After Crescent Kingdom's heartbreaking cliffhanger, I was ready for the warm and fuzzies with book two but NOPE. Tessa said, here's some cute and then BAM. I was bamboozled again!
Wren has been put through the wringer her entire life and the poor girl is tired. She's feeling unworthy and more unsure of herself than ever. Watching her mates show her that their love and devotion doesn't come at a cost was tear jerking.
I felt on edge waiting for the villain to strike and when he did, I still wasn't ready for it. I'm dying for the conclusion noW!
