The more I think about this book the more brilliant I think it is. Every element is excellent: plot, characters, themes. Like it’s one thing to have the most interesting magic system I’ve ever read but to have it be so interesting AND perfectly parallel imperialist exploitation on top of that. Like hats off RF Kuang is a genius.
