Misguided Angel by Melissa de la Cruz
2.0

Now I see why people are calling Melissa de la Cruz a moneygrubber. This is the fifth book in the series and this story is nowhere near done. In this installment the author barely grazed over the main story. In fact, she decided to introduce new characters with new story lines and we are not any closer to resolving the main conflict. Way to string people along. De la Cruz writes as if this were a TV series where it’s ok to go off on tangents because you have to save something for the next season, instead of remembering these are books that need an ending.

The characters are okay but I think that if she wanted to keep this series going for a long time she needed to go about it in a different way. Don’t just keep leading people on by deceiving them! She should’ve written the books as if they were sitcom episodes instead of soap opera ones. That way every book has some sort of conclusion but she can keep using the characters and at the same time she doesn’t gain so many angry readers against her. Let the readers choose.

I suppose I did this to myself. I told myself I wouldn't read this series again after the disappointment of the 4th book and yet somehow when i saw this audio book on the library shelf, curiosity got the best of me...
