Sing to Me of Rain by E.B. Dawson

If you're looking for a story that contains childlike wonder and innocence, but also asks deep questions about life...look no further!

I had so much fun losing myself in this imaginative book. Plip is the most adorable naiad you're likely to ever meet, and Akino, despite the hurts he's buried inside, is steadfast at heart. The journey they take sends them to unexpected places, teaching them along the way about friendship, courage, and the complexities of an imperfect world.

Sing to Me of Rain is a sweet tale with lessons for young and old. The lesson I took away was this: We can't fix the world, or even understand everything about it. But no matter who we are, no matter how small we feel and how huge this life seems, we can still help people.
