Exile by R.A. Salvatore
2.0

After being pleasantly surprised by Homeland, I cannot say I was pleased by this one. The drow reversed back to their racist, always evil stereotype with several at-best thoughtless lines doubling down on the comparison to people of color. The plot was meandering and devoid of tension and the climax was so corny as to be funny. There was a helpful discussion of mental illness/PTSD hidden in all this, but there’s a lot of wading through the Underdark to get to it.
