A gorgeously written slice-of-life novel with a touch of magical realism. Some readers may find the ending unsatisfying but I think that makes the story feel more like real life, we don't always get a neat and tidy ending and sometimes we have to interpret events the best we can and accept that some mysteries will always remain mysteries.
