Broken Harbor
by Catherine Cowles
When I finished this book, there was only a word looping in my mind: Wow.
"Broken Harbor" was one of those books that you pick expecting one thing, and the author decides to deliver a whole different thing. Better. Addictive. Breathtaking.
Cope and Sutton are just an amazing couple, and I was mesmerized (all the time, I might add) by their chemistry. I could feel, while reading their story, they belong to each other - which just proves how amazing Catherine's writing skills are.
Sutton is a character I will cherish forever. The way she puts her son in her top priorities and how hard she fights for their happiness and peace is heartbreaking but amazing at the same time. She is strong and fearless and gave us everything we could ask a female main character to be.
But Cope? Oh, Cope is just AWESOME. His character development is insane and I was just trying to jump right into these pages and hug him. I love to know him deeply and to see other vision of this family. The hockey aspect was priceless, and I was waiting for Catherine to deliver us something like this for so long!
AND LUCA? I always love kids in the books, but this one felt special for many reasons. He's so loyal, strong, and so understanding - I was rooting for him the whole freaking time.
As always, this book was amazing: the written is phenomenal, the main characters are have a perfect character development and the found family is indescribable.
I can't wait to see all of you reading this one
