The Legend of Gasparilla: A Historical Pirate Romance by S.T. Fernandez

5.0

I read this book in 2 sittings.
No joke I couldn’t bring myself to read anything else or think of anything outside of seeing where Gaspar ended up next!

Gaspar’s life in this take on the legend is a page turner and a refreshing take on romance fiction.

I see a lot of reviews saying bridgerton meets Pirates of the Caribbean.
While I don’t get Bridgerton vibes, this book definitely gives pirates of the caribbean vibes.

This is a VERY slow-burn romance high-sea legend that takes you on the adventures and misfortunes turned into opportunities of Gaspar’s life.

I prefer plot and adventure over sex scenes. If you are similar to me you will find this book is FILLED with their world, incredible character story lines, their adventures, losses that make your heart ache for the remaining characters and enough nemeses to keep you rooting for the main characters.

The life of a pirate isn’t easy
