I will admit, my motivation to delve into this book was rather low— despite the multitude of good reviews from close friends.

The first 75 or so pages were elongated and ever so slightly a nuisance to get through, which I admit albeit a little to my own embarrassment, as I have not seen many similar reviews related to the first 1/5 of the book.

After getting through the first obstacle, I could hardly put this book down for more than brief spurts of time. It is a very immersive book and very sensory-rich, something which was pleasant and quite enjoyable for me.

The plot twists that came one after  at the end had me so deeply immersed into the plot— forcing me to read the last 160 pages in the span of 3 hours.

I do— though this book was very delightfully, somewhat dislike the ending regarding the relationship between Julian and Scarlet, as I feel Scarlet recovered from the tremendous stress to rapidly for my taste. As well as forgiving Julian somewhat hurriedly,

In conclusion, I will recommend this book to anyone longing for a dark, mysterious, hunger games esk, captivating book with age appropriate romance:

I am ordering the next book soon!
