A cozy non-fiction book, Over and Under the Snow follows a child as she skis through the woods on an afternoon. All kinds of creatures are there, even if she can't see them. Their tunnels and tracks are still there if she knows what to look for!
I particularly liked the straightforward yet poetic style of this book. I learned a few things myself, and I'd definitely pick this one for story time before going on a hike with my students in the winter.
