Do you want to get haunted?
I loved the idea of this book- a drug that allows you to see ghosts.
My first read thru was in 2022 when I listened to the audio version. The narration was fine but this book hurt me in ways I didn’t understand. I originally posted that it was 3 stars and not for me.
I have since read piles of grief horror. It been helpful as a way to process a loss I’ve experienced.
I revisted Ghosteater as a readalong and it was an entirely different experience. This book still hurt but I didn’t take it personally. I empathized with this flawed group of friends that Chapman brought to life. I thought about ghosts, and addiction, and loss.
