The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss
1.0

This was ...infuriating to read. Here are my two biggest issues with the novel:

1) There was no real story line or arc in this book. I get that this is part 2 of the whole story, but this whole novel seemed to be a continuation of his time of the university and side stories to explain how Kvothe became a talented lover and how he learned to fight. There was no real progression that brought him closer to the Chandrian or learning about the Amyr. At this rate, I don't think Day 3 can finish the story.

2) The characters felt very two dimensional and fall flat for me. Especially Bast and Kvothe in modern day. In the second half of this book, the ongoing parade of new "interesting" characters quickly wore thin.
