On a bright January morning in the London suburbs, a family moves into the house they’ve just bought in Trinity Avenue.

Nothing strange about that. Except it is your house. And you didn’t sell it.

I was lucky enough to be chosen as part of the readalong and watchalong team for Our House by Louise Candlish. This is the first book I have read by this author, even though I have a couple of her other books on my tbr. Now after reading this explosive novel, they have both been bumped up the pile!

What an amazing book! From the very first line, I was completely hooked, and I found myself reading this at every given opportunity, I even delayed dinner, not once but twice as I just needed to find out…

This is one of my favourite genres, thriller and it delivers everything I would expect and a hell of a lot more too! I loved the premise of the book too; it is something that I haven’t read about in a book before, so it intrigued me just as much as the storyline. The book is written on a dual timeline, switching from before and after the critical incident(s), oh yes, there are more than one!

This book will stay with me for a long time, the storyline, characters and events were all so shocking and unlikeable that they have become ingrained in me for the notoriety, even some of the nicer characters, of which I found there were very few will stay with me a long time too.

I highly recommend this book, even if thriller isn’t your normal genre, as this is such a clever book, that has lots of disguises with several tricks up it’s sleeves that will keep you completely enthralled.

Thank you to @tandemcollectiveuk, @louisecandlish and @simonschusteruk for a gifted copy of this book.
