God where do I start? I'm not as good as a writer as the author so I'll keep it simple. I picked this book up at 6am when bordem took me and for 6 hours and 31 minutes afterwards bordem never came again. THIS is how you write a book about gods and mortals.

Every fiction book I've ever read about gods has desperately painted them as good people but this?

"They have forgotten what it's like to be told no , and it has turned them into monsters , obsessed with dominance and hierarchy,  always trying to claw higher."

I went into the story knowing nothing about the goddess Circe but the book does a thorough ( if the amount of pages says anything) job of explaining who's who from where without it feeling like it's being dumped on you. The writing is just done so beautifully I couldn't put my phone down.
