Curse of the Wolf King by Tessonja Odette

emotional lighthearted medium-paced

3.0

I’m sure if I was in their shoes I would make the same misunderstandings that they did or wouldn’t understand the terms of the curse as they did.... but I’m not and I did understand and it frustrated me to no end that them not reading the fine print led to the relationship conflict they had. Also for a supposedly smart girl Gemma was surprisingly dumb and selfish.
even if you consider the fact she thought he wouldn’t give up his shifting for her instead of him not being willing to give her up... she still assumed he’d be willing to sacrifice everyone’s ability to shift, not just his own, for her! Like if she sacrificed something it would only effect her but if he did it would effect his entire household how could she hate him for that??? And then she wished that the curse would take him... it would’ve taken everyone else too!
just very daft.

This is a 3 star instead of a 2 because I did like the first 80% of the book, it was just the annoying relationship conflict that kept it from being a 4 star read that I was considering.
