Writing 5/5 ⭐️, setting & environment 5/5 ⭐️. Characters 5/5 ⭐️. Actual reading experience 3/5 ⭐️. Idk if it was me that didn’t understand the usual summaries in the back of the book but this book just wow… I was very excited during the first 20 pages. Past that I told Rose, I wasn’t sure if I could finish it (I did), it felt like a was reading a VERY toxic wattpad story, don’t get me wrong the characters were extremely well written, the manipulation, the victimization, the abuse, all extremely well written. Props to the author on that. However, i definitely wasn’t ready for the cycle of toxicity that I was going to be put through. Overall, very predictable plot + ending, the characters (specially Daryl) had layers like an onion and in the end it was all nothing. Haley, I hope to see you in the next book better than I left you on this one.
